Who we are
Seeds of Success is a student run organization within the University of Rhode Island’s College of Environment and Life Sciences (CELS) dedicated to fostering a sense of community and opening doors to possibilities. The group’s mission focuses on peer initiatives to provide underrepresented students at URI with the guidance, resources and support critical to achieving academic, social and professional success throughout their educational journey.
Our focus
• Student leaders meet and strategize to assess challenges and find solutions
• SOS members share their success stories and reach back to guide those following in their footsteps
• SOS resources fill gaps and help students establish a firm foundation
What we offer
- SOS provides members with opportunities to secure scholarships and conduct research
- Guest speakers, educational and career support, and book exchanges contribute valuable connections and resources
- For the K-12 community, SOS members possess meaningful experience and wisdom to share and inspire

- K-12 partnerships where SOS members can conduct outreach with students and showcase the possibilities and paths to success
