RI EPSCoR event to feature grad student research

Science cafeJoin us Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, for an engaging presentation of graduate student research in the lively and popular science café format. The event will feature 13 graduate students from the University of Rhode Island College of the Environment and Life Sciences, College of Pharmacy, and Graduate School of Oceanography.

The researchers, some of whom have been supported by Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR and Rhode Island INBRE, will give an overview of their work in five-minute elevator pitch scenarios designed to interest a broad public audience and provide an understanding of why their science matters. The presentation portion will run about 90 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of networking and an opportunity to ask questions.
