Who we are
FAB Newport is Newport County-based organization that, with its strategic partners, seeks to expand the Maker Community in Rhode Island. For background information: Maker movement and Nation of Makers Program. As noted on the MIT web site, ‘Fab labs provide widespread access to modern means for invention. Fab labs comprise equipment and materials that can be used today to do what will be possible with tomorrow’s personal fabricators.”
FAB Newport’s current focus is on transitioning Make Education Initiatives such as digital fabrication and embedded processors into formal and informal STEAM education.
