Biography

MAJ Anderson is a native of the Bronx, NY. She commissioned into the United States Army in 2002 from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

Upon entering Active Duty in June 2005, MAJ Anderson executed a number of significant and command assignments that include Platoon Leader and Executive Officer of the 546th Transportation Company, Ft Bragg, NC; Company Commander of the Long Island Recruiting Company, Ft Hamilton, NY; Battalion and Brigade S1 of the 4th BSTB and HQ, 3rd BCT, Ft Polk LA; BDE S1 Observer Coach/Trainer of the 188th Combined Arms Training Brigade, Ft Stewart, GA; and HR Operations Branch OIC and Deputy G1 of the 3ESC, Ft Bragg, NC. She has completed 2 deployments over-seas to Kuwait and Afghanistan.

Her military education includes the Transportation Corps Officer Basic Course, the Adjutant General’s Captain’s Career Course, and the United States Army Command and General Staff College. In addition, she obtained certifications for the Combat Life Saver Course, Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Course, Observer Controller Academy, the HR Plans and Operations Course, and advanced level IT certifications (A+, Network +, and Security+). She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree from American Military University in Information Technology with a concentration in Digital Forensics.

MAJ Anderson’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (5 OLC), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Award, Humanitarian Service Award, Basic Recruiter’s Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Driver/Mechanic’s Badge.

MAJ Anderson is married to Auzia D. Anderson of Sebring, FL. They have 2 dogs, Dutchess and Duke, and 1 Cat, Bella.
