Biography
Major Brendan Lamb is a native of Ocean City, NJ. Major Lamb joined the Army in November 2009 after graduating from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Major Lamb branched Ordnance after completing Basic Training and graduating from Officer Candidate School (OCS) at Fort Benning, GA.
Major Lamb’s assignments include 4-27 Field Artillery, 1st Armored Division, where he served as the Maintenance Control Officer, Distribution Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer. Following completion of the Captain’s Career Course, Major Lamb deployed to Afghanistan, serving as the Operations Officer for the Combine Security Transition Command – Afghanistan (CSTC-A). Following his deployment, Major Lamb was assigned to 1-2SBCT, at JBLM, WA, where he served as a Battalion Operations Officer and commanded Hotel Forward Support Company (FSC) for the 5th Battalion 20th Infantry Regiment. Following Command, he served as an Observer/Coach Trainer at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, CA, participating in over 16 rotations. After completing the Command and General Staff College at Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Major Lamb was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division, Ft. Cavazos, TX. He served as the Division G4 (FWD), while forward deployed to Poland in support of Atlantic Resolve. Upon redeployment Major Lamb worked as the Brigade Support Operations Officer (SPO) and Brigade Support Battalion (BSB) Executive Officer in 1st Brigade “IRONHORSE.”
Major Lamb received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the St. Joseph’s University in 2009, along with Masters Degrees from the University of Kansas in 2020 and the US Army Command and General Staff College in Operational Arts and Science in 2020. His military schooling includes basic training, Ordnance Officer Basic Course (BOLC), Logistics Captains Career Course, and the Army Command and General Staff College.
Major Lamb’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), and Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC).
