Biography
George Muksian teaches The Criminal Justice System at the University of Rhode Island. He has worked as a criminal defense trial lawyer and prosecutor for many years, as well as having served as chief counsel to the Rhode Island Department of Labor and the Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Muksian has authored several professional journal articles and has facilitated and presented continuing legal education programs relating to criminal justice. He is a past chair of the Rhode Island Criminal Law Bench/Bar Committee.
Muksian has served as a mentor and advisor to Harvard University graduate and law students, and he has been a part-time instructor in the law, humanities and the social sciences at area colleges and universities, including Providence College, Roger Williams University and Tufts University.
