All of their old equipment is not working too well in keeping members safe. The members can’t see too well through the helmets. Two bats were broken last week. Each bat will be around $200 – $300 dollars. Total amount is $1,294 with shipping and handling for the equipment. It will be going towards the helmets, bats, pads and arm/thigh guards. Most of the equipment is 3+ years old besides the balls which are bought annually. There is no form of dues in the club but, per year and season the expenses change every year. Since the funds in accounting are low, committee counter offered at $800 where as it is a comfortable spot for the club to purchase the materials and get to where they need to be.

Motion to Grant Cricket Club $800 Approved (5-0-1)

$3617 for food, promo cards, marketing posters and change fest survival kits, (pens pencils, water bottles, entry wristbands, snacks). Per person each survival kit is $7.46. Catering will be done through Brown University, $824 lunch. $1125 total for diner. An additional $200 for breakfast $2272 for food. $12.62 per person. 180 estimated participants, 45 being URI students.
Sense the clause in the finance handbook states that, programming fees can be granted when at the University of Rhode Island, since the program is at brown we cannot take over the funds for this event. Usually we could subsidize the registration fees but the members going to the event from URI are not from THRIVE so Finance Committee cannot fund any of this grant unfortunately.

The group wishes to go on a seal watching trip in Newport. 20 members will be going. Total is $440 but Senate funds half so $220.
