Research Equipment
The Translanguaging Lab has a range of equipment that can be used for language-based or classroom research, including audio-recorders, video-recorders, and tripods. Priority is given to faculty and students working on Lab projects, although any URI student or faculty member can request to borrow research equipment.
Children’s Books and Young Adult Novels
The Translanguaging Lab has many different children’s and young adult books that showcase bi/multilingualism and translanguaging. These books are great resources for exploring the dynamic nature of lived bilingualism and for lessons in classrooms with multilingual learners.
Academic and Practitioner Texts
The Translanguaging Lab also has many books for researchers and educators interested in translanguaging. Academic texts offer insights into translanguaging research and theories, and practitioner texts provide actionable strategies for educators to cultivate a translanguaging classroom.
