Heathman Hall is one of the three residence halls (along with Garrahy and Wiley) that make up the neighborhood of North Woods, located across the street from a forest filled with wildlife and some of the oldest trees in Rhode Island.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the more centrally located residence halls, North Woods is close to many of the newest academic buildings, ample resident and commuter parking, and the Ryan Center.
With almost five hundred residents on opening day, Heathman is a small city of a dorm, and is a popular hall for sophomores and juniors. Students studying nursing, chemistry and pharmacy are among the most common residents found in Heathman, since many of their classes are literally just across the street.
Private bathrooms and a more quiet setting far away from first year buildings make it a community that is great for studying.
There are no kitchens in the rooms, so a meal plan is required.
