Last spring, five URI Language students were awarded Boren scholarships to study overseas. Sixteen URI Language students won Demers fellowships to study languages around the world.

URI History MA Graduate Laura Damon ’18, a reporter for the Newport Daily News, has been selected to attend the New England First Amendment Institute.
