WAYNE KILCLINE is the founder of the Lillian Feinstein Elementary School & the Providence Youth Guitar Ensembles; groups that have played throughout Rhode Island for the past fifteen years.
Wayne has been an elementary music teacher in the Providence Schools since 1996, teaching general music, chorus, bell choir, recorder and guitar. Most recently, he was awarded the WJAR Channel 10 “Golden Apple Award” and was named Providence School’s “Teacher of the Year” for 2013. He and his wife Rebecca serve as co-directors of music at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Woonsocket, RI. Wayne has been running the RIMEA website since 2003.
Wayne has also taught courses for both the Education Department and the Music Department at Providence College. He serves as a mentor teacher to music education students from the University of
Rhode Island, Providence College, and Rhode Island College.
Wayne is a graduate of Rhode Island College, and received his Masters Degree in Music Education from RIC in 2004. He has studied guitar with Mychal Gendron, William Maker, and Andrew Rizzotti.
