Learning Objectives

After completing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain what analyses of pharmacy dispensing data reveal about medication use among older adults in Rhode Island.
  2. Describe safety concerns associated with medications commonly prescribed for older adults, including benzodiazepines and drugs for insomnia and pain.
  3. Identify common barriers to medication adherence, and describe approaches to support patient medication-taking behaviors.
  4. Explain strategies for reducing medication-related problems in older adults
