Exeter is a town in the northwestern corner of Washington County. It is home to Rhode Island’s only ski resort- Yawgoo Valley. Exeter was the site of one of the best documented examples of vampire exhumation: the Mercy Brown Vampire Incident of 1892, which occurred as a result of trying to understand the cause of tuberculosis in the town.
