Biography

Tracey Angell is the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Procurement overseeing Purchasing for the University. Tracey has held positions of progressively increasing responsibility in the Purchasing Department since she joined the University, appointed as the Director in 2017, and appointed Assistant Vice President in 2023. During her time in Purchasing, the University has made significant advances in obtaining delegated authority from the State Department of Administration, and Tracey ensured that the University community was aware of the changes and that communication with the State remained strong.

Prior to joining URI, Tracey worked for an international wholesale firm in Mansfield, MA. Tracey holds a Master’s in Public Administration from URI and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Technology from Rhode Island College.
