Biography

Kevin McConeghy  completed his Pharm.D. at the University of Rhode Island and Masters in Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Illinois.  He has extensive clinical experience with several years of post-graduate training in critical care and infectious diseases.  Dr. McConeghy’s overall research strategy is to leverage the knowledge and training of a clinical pharmacology specialist with advanced training in econometric and epidemiologic methods. He has broadly applied these research skills to a variety of pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety research questions including drug allergies, dabigatran-related bleeding events, oral bisphosphonates as a risk factor for Clostridium difficile infections and pharmacy-based immunization.  He hopes to develop foundational work for an academic research career focused on pharmacoepidemiology and health outcomes among veterans.
