The Design Studio is seeking for passionate, curious, self-motivated, and hardworking Art and Design students to join a Summer Student Fellows team through the Arts & Sciences Student Fellows Program: https://web.uri.edu/artsci/fellows-program/
This is a 10-week summer fellowship, averaging 7-10 hours per week, fully remote, meetings over zoom.
Selected students will apply through the Arts & Sciences Student Fellows Program and, if accepted, fellows will be paid $20.00 an hour for up to 20 hours per week.
In addition, students may choose to enroll for ART academic credit for this work.
*Credit is optional and separate from the paid fellowship; enrollment requires departmental approval.
Under the close supervision of Dr. Clarisa E. Carubin, the team will develop inclusive branding materials for the Stanton-Davis Homestead Museum, with deliverables intended for immediate implementation to enhance public engagement, accessibility, and institutional visibility.
This experience emphasizes real-world graphic design workflows and collaborative, client-centered practice.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong visual communication and typographic skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Students who have completed the Graphic Design sequence (ART 204 and ART 304) will receive priority consideration.
