Environmental Arts and Humanities B.A.

Overview

The Arts and Humanities offer unique perspectives for engaging with complex environmental issues such as climate change and environmental degradation, environmental justice, and our complex relationship with nature. By tapping into human experiences–conveyed through art, music, literature, philosophy, creativity, and oral traditions–we aim to equip our graduates with a deeper, more holistic approach to understanding and addressing these urgent concerns.

The B.A. in Environmental Arts and Humanities will provides you with the background to make informed decisions about your future as a global citizen. The critical reasoning skills and applied learning opportunities that run through this major will make you uniquely situated to move toward a variety of professions, including:

  • science writing and environmental policy
  • nonprofit work focusing on environmental problems and solutions
  • graduate school for environmental law or environmental philosophy
