For this network, we seek alumni who are interested in sharing their stories and career advice with students, providing contacts for professional networking, helping us grow internship opportunities in Rhode Island, around the country, and across the globe. You can be an invaluable resource for our students. Here are ways to give back.

Share Your Work Experience

Remember trying to plan your career path when you were a student? Share your work experiences and advice with students through these opportunities:

• Career Readiness Events
  Join a group of Arts and Sciences alumni to provide a career readiness workshop for current students. Share information on building the best resume, interviewing tips, setting up a LinkedIn profile, networking and more.
• Class Conversations
  Join a class to share your career path and experiences or to share your expertise on a particular issue
• Host an Intern
  Work with a creative and innovative College of Arts & Sciences student who is eager to contribute to your organization. Be a part of their journey by helping them hone their professional skills and gain essential hands-on experience. You may even find your next great new employee!
• Be a Mentor
  Join URIConnect and match up with current students as a mentor. Share advice and help provide career guidance through a virtual meeting.
• Support the Career Rhode Trip
  Provide a site for students to visit on an experiential learning trip to major business areas such as New York City and Boston so students can network with alumni and learn about various career opportunities available.
