What makes the College of Arts and Sciences at URI unique?

I love the diversity of curriculum. As an English major I have taken a number of interesting classes that include: a class that studies works from the African diaspora, a class that discusses the Bible as a literary text, and a class on a number of politically relevant Post Modern texts.

What accomplishments and/or activities are you most proud of while at URI?

I am really proud of my time as a scholar and athlete at URI. It has given me the discipline and drive that I know I will need to excel in my future endeavors.

If you were to offer advice to an incoming first year student, what would you say?

A good foundation early on in your academic career will pay off down the road. Establish good study habits, do all of your assignments, and make time for school work. That way you can enjoy the full college experience, and you won’t find yourself struggling when courses get harder or your work load is heavier.
