Burnap originated the role of Toby Darling in Matthew Lopez’s The Inheritance at London’s Young Vic and continued at the Noël Coward Theatre in London’s West End. The play debuted on Broadway in November of 2019, running until Broadway’s shutdown on March 12, 2020.

The Inheritance won Best Play at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards (2018) and won Best New Play and Best Director (for Stephen Daldry) at both the 2019 Critics’ Circle Awards and the 2019 Laurence Olivier Awards

This semester, The University of Rhode Island Department of Theatre is fortunate to have Andrew as an instructor teaching THE 111: Introduction to Acting. “We couldn’t be more excited for him and for those lucky first-year students who now can now say that their professor is a TONY Nominee,” says David T.
