Cancellation
24 hours notice is required for cancellation. If we are not notified within this time frame you will be charged for charter. If cancellation is due to bad weather, URI will attempt to reschedule the charter at the earliest available time, if the client so desires.
All charters are subject to cancellation at the discretion of the Captain the day of the charter.
If you need to cancel a charter, please call the Vessel Operations Coordinator: Mitch Hatzipetro, 401.874.7852
Passengers
The United States Coast Guard limits the capacity of the Cap’n Bert to 22 passengers. This is the max number of passengers allowed on per trip. Due to safety, the captain has the right to limit the number of passengers depending upon trip activities.
All charters require a full passenger list to be submitted to Mitch Hatzipetro at least 7 days in advance of the charter. Any person not listed on the passenger list, the captain has the right to refuse boarding. All non-URI passengers must sign and submit a release form electronically prior to boarding the vessel- this form must be received no later than 24 hours before departure
The liability form can be found in the additional information tab
Dress code
The Cap’n Bert is a working vessel. Due to this, all passengers and personnel must wear closed toed shoes (Crocs do not satisfy this requirement) as well as dress for the elements. Any person not complying with the dress code, the captain reserves the right to refuse boarding.
Payment Policy
All trips must be paid in full 7 business days prior to charter. Payment for the Cap’n Bert is done via a secure credit card portal that will be emailed to the party responsible for the chartering of the vessel. Unless prior negotiation for an alternative payment method is approved, all payments must be made by credit/debit card.
