Effective July 1st 2026
- Full day Internal user is to be changed to $1700
- Half Day internal is to be changed to $850
- Full Day External is to be changed to $2600
- Half Day External is changed to $1300
- $243/hour – Plankton sampling fee (internal users)
- $371/hour – Plankton sampling fee (external users)
- $72.74/hour – Captain pilot services
For All Charters:
There is a 1 and 1⁄2 hour overtime limit on a half day trip.
Overtime will be charged at the rate of $215.00/hour for University Charters and $330.00/hour for Non-University Charters.
If the charter exceeds the 1 and 1⁄2 hour overtime limit, the charter will go to the
full day rate.
Disclaimer
For certain trips, the United States Coast Guard requires that certified deckhands be onboard the vessel. It will be at the captains discretion if additional deckhands are needed on each trip.
The Fishing Vessel Service Center is an activity that performs services primarily for the internal operations of the University and charges users for its services. Consistent with the University of Rhode Island’s service center policy, external non-URI customers can access the services at the above prescribed rates.
