A Focused Review of Medications for Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder
While stimulants are first-line treatment for ADHD, many patients may benefit from alternative treatment options given age, comorbidities, and personal preference. Pharmacists have the opportunity to educate patients and providers on these alternative treatments. Pharmacists in all practice settings. Caralyn Granato, PharmD Dr. Caralyn Granato is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at the Veterans Affairs Providence Healthcare System (VAPHS) and is a 2021 graduate from the University of Rhode Island. She will be continuing her training at VAPHS in psychiatric pharmacy starting in July of 2022. Aaron Perfetto, PharmD Dr. Aaron Perfetto is a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident at the Veterans Affairs Providence Healthcare System, where he will be continuing his post-graduate training as a PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Resident. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Rhode Island in 2021. Completion of the online modules and program evaluations are required to earn credit. No partial credit is available for this program. Evaluations must be completed at www.uripharmacycpd.org within 60 days. The University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
