When you are selected for one of URI’s 4+1 accelerated bachelor’s to master’s (ABM) programs in the College of Health Sciences, you can earn two degrees in just five years—a major professional advantage. Take your bachelor’s degree to the next level with one of our four ABM programs in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Nutrition, or Developmental Science. Each program provides unique opportunities for you to engage in multidisciplinary learning and its practical application to the real world. These programs provide opportunities for you to conduct health focused research, have hands-on lab experiences, and gain high quality experiential learning, all with our world class faculty.

Eligibility and Guidelines
- You are not required to commit to a graduate degree right away. With hands-on academic advising each semester, you will be guided to make the academic and career decisions that are best for you.
- A 3.2 cumulative GPA (or higher) is required at the end of your junior year if you would like to pursue a 4+1 program.
- During your junior or senior year, you will complete a fee-waived application expressing your formal interest in the 4+1 program.
