The Rhode Island Legislature has passed changes to SLPA licensure that will, once ratified, make the requirements more consistent with ASHA guidelines and other states’ requirements (see full press release). These changes will make it easier for SLPAs to become licensed, which may ease the burden on over-worked SLPs in the state.
