Rachel Oliva, BS

Biography

Rachel Oliva has been a part of the SNAP-Ed team since 2017. She began working as a part-time undergraduate nutrition assistant with SNAP-Ed while she pursued her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island. After her graduation in May of 2020 Rachel knew she wanted a career in community nutrition and became a full time SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Rachel can be found delivering community-based nutrition workshops and creating education materials in both languages. Rachel enjoys making a positive impact in people’s health, especially in a community that is so close to home for her. When Rachel is not working she loves to travel and spend time with her family.
