Biography

Heidi started working for SNAP-Ed in 2004, after graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Spanish. After a year of teaching nutrition in the community, she decided to pursue nutrition as a career. She graduated with a master’s degree from URI in nutrition in 2009, and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Connecticut in 2010. Heidi plans and coordinates SNAP-Ed programs, supervises dietetic interns, teaches nutrition workshops in English and Spanish, and runs professional development workshops about feeding young children for child care providers. When she’s not at work, Heidi enjoys hiking, biking, reading, and chasing around her two young boys.
