Biography

Kate has worked at SNAP-Ed since 2005. She is the project manager for the University of Rhode Island SNAP-Ed and CYFAR programs, overseeing a staff of professionals, graduate students, dietetic interns and undergraduates. She meets new and existing community partners to enhance the opportunity for nutrition education in the low-income population of Rhode Island, writes proposals and reports for the Federal Government, and organizes and analyzes data collected through programming. Kate received her bachelors in Exercise Physiology from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and then pursued a masters in nutrition at the University of Rhode Island and acquired her PhD in nutrition in 2018. Kate is an accredited Registered Dietitian in the U.S. and also Australia, where she lived for 2.5 years. Kate loves being a mom to her two boys and spending time with her family when not at work.
