Biography

Mary Parisi began working at SNAP-Ed in 2006 as a Research Associate. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Georgetown University and is a Registered Nurse. Mary has an extensive background in community health and community resources stemming from her work in several Boston area hospitals. Her knowledge of community health allows her to work with all age groups; however her primary work focus is with preschool and elementary age students. She also provides Professional Development trainings and support for several Pre-k and Head Start sites throughout the state. Mary also enjoys finding and creating new tasty, healthy, low cost recipes to share with her SNAP-Ed clients. When she is not at work, Mary spends lots of time with her family, being active and going to the gym. Her favorite place is the beach, especially Block Island in the summer!
