Biography

Vanessa Pichardo is a dedicated Community Nutrition Assistant and graduate student pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition at the University of Rhode Island in 2023. This is where she discovered her passion for community education through her involvement with the SNAP-Education and EFNEP programs at URI. Vanessa’s commitment to nutrition was further reinforced by her volunteer work at a community nutrition office and assisting in various nutrition programs. She is passionate about promoting positive nutritional habits and overall well-being. Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys hiking, going to the gym, spending time at the beach, cooking, trying new foods, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
