Housing Fair Update

There will be no Off-Campus Housing Fair for the Fall 2026 semester. While the physical event is paused, URI Commuter Affairs provides year-round, active digital resources to help you secure housing, vet roommates, and review leases.

Students: Find active rental listings or search for roommates via the URI Off-Campus Housing Portal.
Landlords: Register your properties on the URI Off-Campus Housing Portal and connect directly with verified students. Registered property owners or managers will be notified about future housing fairs.

Looking for a place to live while attending URI? Thinking about moving off campus next year, searching for roommates, or trying to understand your options before signing a lease?

The URI Off-Campus Housing Fair brings students together with local property owners and managers, University resources, and community partners. Meet people, explore housing possibilities, and gather information to help you make informed decisions about where you live.

Whether you’re searching for your first apartment or planning your next move, the fair is an opportunity to ask questions and connect with resources before making a commitment.

Secure Your Housing Off-Campus

While the fair is inactive, utilize these direct pathways to complete your housing search:

  • Find Active Listings: Visit the official URI Off-Campus Housing Portal to filter rentals by price, location, and configuration.
  • Find Roommates: Use the secure portal to view student profiles, match schedules, and coordinate shared leases safely.
  • Review Leases & Rights: Access our Off-Campus Living Resources for critical checklists on security deposits, landlord communication, and local ordinances before you sign anything.
  • Plan Your Commute: Check out the Commuter Essentials Guide to map your route. Reminder: All enrolled students receive free transit via the new RIPTA U-Pass program!

Have a question? Contact URI Commuter Affairs at commuter-group@uri.edu for help finding the appropriate resource.

Interested in sharing your rental listings with URI students at a future housing fair?
