Off-Campus Housing Representatives – represent the interests of students living in the near by off-campus neighborhoods (i.e Narragansett, Bonnet Shores, Pt. Judith, Eastward Look, etc). The representatives make up the Off-Campus Housing Caucus and meet with the Commuter Housing Office to work on issues relating to off-campus living and commuting.

Student Affairs Spring 2025 Survey

The University of Rhode Island Division of Student Affairs is seeking input about your connection to our many programs, resources, and services available to students.
Please take this opportunity to share your thoughts with me about the Division of Student Affairs and your experiences. Your feedback will help me—and our team—improve our customer service, marketing, and offerings for you throughout the year.

The survey is now live!

Participation in the survey is voluntary and anonymous. To incentivize participation from as many URI students as possible, those who respond by Feb. 21 may enter their name in a random drawing for a variety of giveaways in support of their continued student involvement and campus engagement.

As a member of our diverse community, thank you for the important role you play in fostering an engaged campus at URI.

Sincerely,
Ellen M. Reynolds, Ed.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs

Commuter Parking

Parking in Emporium lots discouraged
Students, faculty and staff are reminded that their University parking permits do not allow them to park their vehicles in the Kingston Emporium lot or the adjacent lot. These parking lots are privately permitted by the Emporium’s owner, and anyone without an Emporium permit risks having their vehicle ticketed or towed. Please take note.

Rhody Shuttle Survey

TAP and Student Senate launch Rhody Shuttle feedback survey
URI’s Student Senate has partnered with URI Transportation and Parking (TAP) to gather student feedback on Rhody Shuttle services, with hopes to introduce bidirectional shuttles at URI. This collaboration aims to assess the community’s interest in bidirectional shuttles and the overall Rhody Shuttle experience.

What’s the goal?
The short, 10-question survey will collect input on Rhody Shuttle users’ overall experience, ranging from frequency of use to cleanliness to driver courtesy/professionalism. Most importantly, this survey introduces bidirectionality to the campus. Your feedback is crucial, as TAP is interested in implementing this innovative idea on the basis of rider interest.

How to Participate:

Why Should You Participate?
Your insights are crucial in shaping a more efficient and accessible campus environment. Whether you’ve had positive or negative experiences, or if you have suggestions for the proposed bidirectional services, we want to hear from you!

Don’t miss this opportunity to voice your opinion and make a lasting impact on campus transportation.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to TAP (TAP@uri.edu ) and/or Student Senate Vice President Sanah Feroz (vp@rhodysenate.org).

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge that we gather as the University of Rhode Island on the traditional land of the Niantic and Narragansett people in past and present, and honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations. This calls us to commit to continuing to learn how to be better stewards of the land we inhabit as well.
