What is your responsibility as a 2019 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
As a 2019 URI Energy Fellow, my placement is with the Customer Energy Management Team at National Grid. The goal of my team is to create sustainable energy solutions for both today and tomorrow for our customers. It is important to address a future goal of cleaner energy consumption, but the present issues are just as critical. The outputs of a team with such a large mission vary widely from community engagement initiatives to home energy reports for each individual customer. Energy efficiency requires deep technical/financial analysis and partnerships with local companies with similar goals.

What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
In my free time, I like to fill up my days with anything I can. A big part of my experience on campus has been through URI Service Corps; leading two Alternative Spring Break trips and serving as a Community Engagement Leader have taught me crucial values that I strive to achieve in my education and career. Otherwise, I can be found in the gym, the beach, or any coffee shop around!
