What is your responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
I am an intern with the Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island (EMARI) in Newport, Rhode Island. My main responsibilities consist of assisting the delivered fuel industry of Rhode Island as it transitions to a higher blend of BioHeat, an eco-friendly and sustainable heating fuel composed of green feedstock that significantly reduces carbon emissions. My responsibilities include conducting and analyzing research and data as well as communicating important scientific information regarding BioHeat to Rhode Island delivered fuel companies. I also assist in the day to day functions of the company and manage rebate and special training programs.

What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
In my free time I enjoy being outside, specifically hiking, camping, sailing and surfing. I love the water and when the weather is warm I’m almost always at the beach or on the ocean. I also like to read and write, and spend time with my friends and family. I am a part of the surf and sailing club at URI, and I am heavily involved with my sorority, Delta Phi Epsilon, and serve as a Standards Board member and New Member Educator. I am also a member of two honors fraternities, the Order of Omega and Pi Sigma Alpha.
