What is your responsibility as a 2020 URI Energy Fellow (i.e. what team are you on/where are you working)?
As a 2020 Energy fellow my placement is with the URI Office of Sustainability working as a behavior change intern. My main responsibilities are developing and encouraging sustainable behavior on campus to students, faculty, and staff. There are many programs that I am working along with but my main focus during my internship this year is the ‘Green Office Certification’ program. This program encourages URI faculty and staff to participate in forming a green team for their office space to become knowledgeable and partake in sustainable behavior changes. Influencing a positive behavior change towards simple actions that can contribute to the URI plan for campus sustainability is what we strive for at the office. I am super grateful to be a part of this opportunity.

What do you like to do in your free time? Are you involved in any other organizations or activities on campus?
In my free time, I am a big fan of going on walks to the beautiful Rhode Island beaches. I enjoy exercising as I am a part of the URI Club Gymnastics team. Gymnastics takes up most of my free time but is highly rewarding and exciting to still be able to do the sport I love after highschool. I also enjoy relaxing, hanging out with friends, and reading.
