Biography

Danny joined the lab in 2017 as a graduate student research assistant. In 2013, he graduated summa cum laude from Eastern Illinois University with a BA in psychology, then completed a Masters in clinical psychology in 2015 also at EIU. While completing his MA, Danny worked as a clinician treating substance use disorders and addiction in a residential setting, as well as a therapist in a campus counseling center. Danny began the PhD program in clinical psychology at URI in the Fall of 2015. His current role in the lab is as a treatment provider on Project DECISION, a study targeting contraceptive use and family planning with incarcerated men, and he also trains and coaches community mental health providers on Project EASY. Danny also collaborates with Dr. Stein and other members of the lab on publishing and disseminating reports on past and current research projects.
