The University of Rhode Island’s Cybersecurity Research Center proudly hosted the inaugural Integrated Project Team (IPT) Meetings on July 16–17, 2025, bringing together researchers, students, industry leaders, and government partners for two days of dynamic dialogue, networking, and visionary planning.

The event showcased live student demonstrations, research posters, and lab tours that impressed attendees with the caliber of work emerging from the Center. These interactive elements sparked engaging conversations and offered meaningful opportunities for students to connect with mentors, sponsors, and peers from across the country.

A hallmark of the IPT Meetings was the focus on collaborative exchange. The agenda featured a series of panel discussions exploring technical challenges and solutions in cyber-physical systems, alongside breakout sessions that allowed participants to dive deep into specialized topics and report key insights back to the broader group.

Attendees appreciated the highly interactive format, which featured themed networking breakfasts, vibrant breakout groups, and ample opportunities for informal connection throughout the event. A standout moment was the sector-specific discussions on future directions, which sparked cross-disciplinary insights and helped shape a shared vision for advancing cyber-physical system security and resilience.

As the event concluded with a CUI-level workshop among invited partners, excitement was already building for next year. The CYPHER team is proud to launch this annual tradition and looks forward to deepening collaboration at IPT Meetings 2026.
