URI Shuttle

URI’s accessible shuttle service is available to all students – find out more at the Rhody Shuttle page, and visit the Real-time Shuttle Tracker page, or download the mobile app.

Rhody Rides

DAI provides an additional wheelchair-accessible shuttle service for students who qualify. Rhody Rides operates Monday-Friday from 8AM-5PM. Please visit the Rhody Rides page for more information about eligibility.

First Year Parking Pass Exemption

First year students with a disability, for whom it is medically necessary to have access to a car on campus, must complete the New to DAI process to determine eligibility.

Temporary Parking Pass

Commuter parking pass students with temporary injuries or conditions who are unable to effectively use the Rhody Shuttle Service, may apply for temporary access to faculty/staff parking lots for up to 30 days. Please note that most of the faculty/staff parking lots are full by 8:30AM, and that a temporary parking pass does not include accessible placard parking spaces. Please complete the Temporary Parking Pass form, and the New to DAI process to determine eligibility.

Accessible Parking Placards

Please note that neither the URI Transportation and Parking office, nor Disability, Access, and Inclusion can allow or provide access to the accessible parking spaces on campus. Only your state’s department/registry of motor vehicles can provide disability placards, which when paired with a URI parking permit allow students to park in accessible parking areas.
