Biography

Hi, my name is Nicholas Cooper and I am currently a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering here at the University of Rhode Island. I was first introduced to the work of the URI VOTES team, as well as to simulation modeling itself, while taking a course with Dr. Macht last semester. I instantly became excited about how powerful of a tool simulation modeling is, and I look forward to seeing how it will improve the election process this year. With my degree, I hope to be able to use tools such as simulation modeling to improve the systems with which we interact with on a daily basis. 

Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, aviation, as well as exploring the outdoors.
