Eligibility:
The Quantum Technologies Club is open to all University of Rhode Island students, faculty, and staff, regardless of major, academic level, or prior experience. Students, faculty, and staff from other institutions, as well as alumni, industry professionals, and members of the public, may participate in eligible online activities and events.
Members may have opportunities to:
- Learn about quantum computing, quantum information science, and related technologies.
- Attend introductory and technical workshops.
- Hear from faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals.
- Join quantum hackathons, competitions, conferences, and programming challenges.
- Connect with students from engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics, chemistry, business, and other disciplines.
- Discover internships, research positions, educational programs, and career opportunities.
- Develop leadership, communication, teamwork, project-management, and event-planning skills.
- Contribute to club activities and become eligible for Active Member recognition and future Executive Board service.
- Regular meetings are held during the academic semester. Meeting frequency, format, and scheduling are determined by the Executive Board and communicated to members in advance.
