Biography
Born and raised in the Inland Empire, André Katkov is a poet, storyteller, and visual artist who strives to use his passion for the arts as a whetstone for pedagogy. As an instructor, he is committed to the facilitation of critical thought, practiced empathy, and a conception of craft that accepts all compositions as potential creative endeavors.
André received his MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from California State University San Bernardino and is presently pursuing his PhD in English with a specialization in Creative Writing at the University of Rhode Island.
He feels that every creative work is worth its weight in time if it finds resonance, even if only with a single individual.
