Jonas comes to the University of Rhode Island after working in higher education for 10 years, 4 of which has been spent teaching English and Philosophy at Dean College in Franklin Massachusetts. His primary goal is to continue his current research around the long 18th century, its political discourse, and the possible ways that sublime ideas and language influence our rhetorical environments.
