Jenna Guitar, English Doctoral Candidate and Instructor of Gender & Women’s Studies received the 2018 Graduate Assistant Teaching Excellence Award for her teaching in the GWS department. She has been an integral member of the GWS teaching team for several years now, and is involved in work done across campus to foster equality and tolerance surrounding issues of gender and sexuality. Her dissertation employs a feminist lens in examining the American Gothic, with a focus on the contemporary and popular media. Read more about the award and her work here.
