Birth Beyond Bars
Birth Beyond Bars (BBB Study) is a mixed methods birth cohort of children exposed prenatally to maternal incarceration. The BBB Study follows children and their primary caregivers throughout early life, investigating the multiple pathways between maternal incarceration and child development, health, and behavior. The BBB Study is a joint research project with Motherhood Beyond Bars and other community and governmental organizations.
Evaluation of Community-Based Alternatives to Incarceration
In partnership with Motherhood Beyond Bars and support from the Georgia Opioid Trust, the Fam Lab is designing a high-quality evaluation of jail diversion for pregnant incarcerated mothers in Georgia.
