The Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute Fellowship Program

Awardees will be able to participate in the seven-week program for free, with classes that will support their pursuit of graduate school and a future career in public policy and the ability to learn from professionals in the field. Students will be able to take this knowledge into their final year of schooling with concrete knowledge of what they need to be improving on in terms of their public policy knowledge and abilities and will be able to carry that through graduate school and into their careers. Further, if accepted and attend one of the specific master degree programs through the PPIA Program, students will get a minimum one-time $5,000 scholarship from the school in addition to application waivers.

Awardees will not have to pay for this program, as it covers travel expenses, tuition, housing and meals, any materials needed for classes, as well as a stipend for incidental costs over the summer. Not only is this fully funded, but students will be able to network effectively throughout this program and not only learn about public policy, but learn about it from top professionals in the field. Further, part of this program is to assist students in getting into a PPIA Consortium School (over 60 public policy and international affairs programs from around the country), which include some of the most prestigious public policy programs in the country. The organization mentions that participants in their programs are recruited by those in top graduate programs around the United States, which could help students achieve admittance into public policy programs.
