EmpowHER, a BA Women initiative, is a program that helps women land Washington, D.C.-based internships and launch careers that change the world. EmpowHER participants, who are currently or recently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, receive six weeks of support in the spring of 2020 to build the foundation for their successful application to a Washington, D.C.-based internship, and to prepare for a summer in the nation’s capital!
Upon arrival to Washington, D.C., participants will gain real-world professional experience by completing their summer internship, participating in weekly professional and leadership development opportunities, and attending a variety of networking and social events. And (perhaps most importantly), they’ll meet and live with their fellow cohort of EmpowHERed womenÐthe ultimate feminist girl gangÐas well as the broader BA community of alumnae and champions. As an EmpowHER participant, you’ll be a part of an intensive 6-week spring and 8-week summer program (for a total of 14 weeks of support), as well as join a network of fierce BA Women, for life. Limited scholarship funding is available for applicants.
