URI and WorldStrides are offering students a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience while immersing themselves in the vibrant cultures of Dublin, Ireland, and Seoul, South Korea. Through these international summer internships, students can earn URI Internship credit, develop new personal and professional networks, and enhance their resumes with global experience.
These unpaid internships provide 25-40 hours per week of hands-on, career-related work in each city’s dynamic workforce. The program combines professional development, cross-cultural training, and personal growth to deliver a comprehensive learning experience. Participants will not only gain valuable skills in their academic field but also build a deeper cultural understanding through immersive placements and enriching cultural excursions organized by WorldStrides.
In Dublin, students will explore one of Europe’s most vibrant capitals, renowned for its friendly atmosphere, historic landmarks, and thriving industries, including tech and finance. Excursions include visits to Trinity College and Dublin Castle, Irish dance lessons, and trips to the scenic landscapes of Howth and Glendalough.
In Seoul, students will experience the fast-paced and highly innovative culture of South Korea’s capital. As a global hub for finance and technology, Seoul offers exceptional professional opportunities. Students will also enjoy excursions to iconic locations such as Gyeongbok Palace and bustling markets, as well as optional trips to cities like Busan.
Participating in an international internship is an incredible way to gain work experience in your academic field.
Internships combine elements that favor learning, valuable work skills, personal growth, and hands-on cross-cultural field training.
