Whether you want to experience another culture, explore a new academic subject, engage in a service project, or catch up on credits to graduate on time, short-term study away programs have an opportunity for you. Offered during Winter J Term, Spring Break, and Summer Session, URI offers a variety of programs to explore.

URI Faculty-Led Programs

Faculty-led programs (FLPs) are URI academic courses taught off-campus in the U.S. and around the world by URI faculty and staff. On average, programs are 2.5 weeks in length and are intentionally designed for small groups of students. These academic courses are open to URI students, and course topics and locations can vary each year.
