Queer and Transgender Studies Minor

The minor in Queer and Transgender studies requires 18 credits:

  • GWS 210G: Introduction to Queer & Transgender Studies (3 credits)
    Elective Courses (15 credits)

  • GWS 350: Queer Media
  • GWS 350: Black Masculinities & the Genre Aesthetic
  • GWS 383: Gender and Sexuality in LA
  • ENG/GWS 388: Queer Literatures and Culture
  • GWS 490: Queer and Feminist Methods
  • APG 328: Gender and Culture
  • HIS 115G: Sex and Western Societies

There may be additional courses offered by various departments each year that may be selected with prior approval of the Gender and Women’s Studies Advisory Committee.

A GPA of at least 2.00 is required.
