Faculty Travel Award
The Harrington School provides $500/ fiscal year to each tenure-track and teaching faculty member for travel purposes. This is in addition to the travel funding provided by the College of Arts and Sciences. Awards can be applied to expenses related to conference presentations, journal submissions, or screenings of creative works. Faculty may choose to use the funds for different occasions as long as the combined total is $500.
Faculty Professional Development Award
The Harrington School offers $1,000/ fiscal year to each tenure-track and teaching faculty member for professional development purposes. Awards can be applied to expenses related to research and teaching. Faculty may choose to use the funds for different occasions as long as the combined total is $1,000.
Harrington School Distinguished Visiting Scholar/Artist Program
The Harrington School offers funding support to Harrington departments looking to bring scholars and/or artists to campus. Visiting scholar applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year, and proposals must be submitted at least eight weeks prior to the visit.
The Harrington School provides funding to support departmental and campus-wide events. To apply, please complete the application below, and the Dean’s Office will confirm your award. This award is designed to support international education, exploration, scholarships, internships, and research travel for faculty engaged in global communication and media projects and presentations.
